Still life photography is a genre of photography used for the depiction of inanimate subject matter, typically a small group of objects. It is the application of photography to the still life artistic style.
As the oldest of photographic traditions, still life has a rich and extremely varied history. There’s no end to inspiration, and no end to the learning you can do simply by engaging the world around you with your camera.
Join us for this hands-on small-group workshop where you will learn:
– how to see a Still Life
– how to choose and arrange your subjects
– lighting
– backdrops, composition, using negative space and the Golden Spiral, gear
– receive personal guidance during the practical session
Skills and level
This workshop is designed for beginners to advanced. There are only a max of six per the session with two tutors.
Equipment
Participants are welcome to bring their whole kit bag or alternatively this workshop can be done with a point and shoot camera or even smart phone!
