Tip:
Stars at night............
Our night skies are filled with stars and
their colours are unbelievable!
It is easy to capture this with your camera, however you do need a tripod
and remote control or cable release and of course you have to get right
away from any ambient light in the night sky.
I always use a wide aperture (small f-stop number) and focus on infinity.
Film speed is from 100-400 ISO. This exposure below was a 45 minute
exposure near central Australia.

Trivia: Did you know?
The
world's largest photographic image was made on 8th July 2006. Called,
of course, The Great Picture' the camera was an abandoned airplane hanger
especially adapted to form a camera obscura.
The Great Picture is expected to make the new Guinness World Records
categories of largest camera and largest photograph.
The image took 35 minutes to be exposed, measures 8.5 metres tall and
32.94 metres wide. The development of the image took 5 hours. Around
70 volunteers used 2,271 litres of developer and 4,542 litres of fixer!

The Legacy Project
The world's largest photograph was created on a

Australia and, in doing so, established himself at the forefront of
international contemporary art.

Olaf
Breuning - Home
A master of the constructed scenario, Olaf Breuning's
videos, photographs and installations draw liberally from advertising,
movies, television and music videos. He dishes up a glam-trash fantasy
world, an archive of alternative realities. Equally enamoured with the
heavy metal and the new age, historical costume drama and serial killer
splatter, the courtly and the degenerate, he cultivates bizarre intersections
of reality and fantasy in which pop culture's interlocking clichés are
amplified and exploded.
Venue:
ACP 257 Oxford Street Paddington NSW Dates: Friday 2 March to Saturday
14 April 2007 Tue - Fri: 12.00 - 7.00pm, Sat & Sun 10.00am - 6.00pm
